Dear Alberto,
We send you our opinions below regarding your email dated on January 9, 2015.
First, it is better to remind ourselves objective of the project. We need to know needs of fishers first, and than design a CVET material for them in order to improve their knowledge, skills and competences.
It would be good the start brain storm on the contents and structure of the questionnaire. Of course, all the partners should join to this discussion and reflect their opinions. We think that the questionnaire should be as simple (understandable, clear, short etc) as possible.
It should give priority on four topics (safety at the sea, technology used in fishing vessels, ecosystem approach to fisheries and cold chain quality management).
It should be a section on socio-demographic (age, education level etc) characteristics to understand who they are.
It should be a section to understand their present knowledge on four topics as well as education and training they followed on these four topics. This section should also cover some questions to understand knowledge of fishers on related EU requirements, Council Regulation (EC) No 1967/2006 on sustainable management of Mediterranean fisheries (this is extremely important for Turkish fishers, they are not aware of this regulation) etc.
It should be a section on their requirements, needs (any kind of needs including educational one) on the four topics.
It should be a section on other needs/problems rather than four topics and the most important problems (such as illegal fishing, overfishing etc.
Since it is a controversial subject we post it to the portal. It is located under the title of Questionnaire.
Best wishes,
vahdet&tolga
